TIF / POWER2

In October 2012, the District was awarded a third Performance Outcomes with Effective Rewards (POWER) grant. TIF/POWER3 is a five-year grant amounting to nearly $60 million.  It is part of an ongoing district-wide commitment to attract, support, reward, and retain the most effective teachers and administrators, especially at targeted high needs schools. Pay for Performance

The Performance Pay system is based on requirements in Florida State Statutes.  It is designed to identify outstanding teachers.  School-based teachers demonstrating maximum performance in behaviors that enhance instructional effectiveness or instructional impact will qualify for outstanding teacher designation. The principal/administrator will determine, based on the evidence provided, the teacher’s eligibility for consideration for Performance Pay. More Information...

Certified Teacher

The district participates in the Dale Hickam Excellent Teaching Program, a trust fund established by the legislature.  This fund reimburses the school district for teachers who mentor other teachers for a minimum of 91 hours in a K-12 public school.  The reimbursement is contingent upon an annual allocation by the legislature in the state budget.
