Pay for Performance
The Performance Pay system is based on requirements in Florida State Statutes. It is designed to identify outstanding teachers. School-based teachers demonstrating maximum performance in behaviors that enhance instructional effectiveness or instructional impact will qualify for outstanding teacher designation. Salary Differential
The Salary Differential program provides salary enhancements for all high-quality staff in more than 20 district schools, known as Renaissance Schools, where at least 90% of the enrolled students are eligible for free or reduced price meals. Peer Assistant
The position of Peer Assistant is open to tenured teachers in the district who have demonstrated a willingness to provide collegial support to other teachers in the profession. National Board Certified Teacher
The district participates in the Dale Hickam Excellent Teaching Program, a trust fund established by the legislature. This fund reimburses the school district for teachers who mentor other teachers for a minimum of 91 hours in a K-12 public school.
